Short Biography

SELENA currently serves on the board of Australian not-for-profit The Global Foundation, as an advisor to UK charity A Blueprint for Better Business, and as a social impact consultant at not-for-profit Social Ventures Australia.

Prior to joining the for-purpose sector full-time, she spent 15 years in strategy, business development and project management roles across Europe, Asia and Australia in the civil nuclear energy industry. Her diverse experience includes collaborating with US national laboratories to strengthen nuclear non-proliferation within the industry, constructing nuclear power plants in France, Finland and the UK, advising South-East Asian governments on nuclear safety culture, reinventing programs for a French social enterprise to drive gender equality in the digital economy, mentoring foreign domestic workers in Singapore to increase their financial literacy, and coaching a community-based not-for-profit in Benin to develop their strategic plan.

Selena holds a PhD in theoretical physics from the University of Cambridge, a Master of Business Administration from Collège des Ingénieurs, a Bachelor of Science (Hons) from Monash University, and is an altMBA alumni and a fellow of On Purpose.
