Short Biography

H.E. OUYANG YUJING is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Malaysia.

Ambassador Ouyang was born in Shengiu, Henan.  He started his career as staff member of the China Surveying and Mapping Press in 1986 and later became the senior staff member of the National Bureau of Surveying and Mapping.  He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an Attaché and later became the Third Secretary in the Department of Treaty and Law.

In 1995, he was posted to the Chinese Consulate-General in Chicago, U.S.A. as the Third Secretary and later promoted to be the Second Secretary.  In 1999, he went back to Beijing to become the Second Secretary, then Deputy Division Director and later promoted to Division Director and finally Counsellor at the Department of Treaty and Law, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ambassador Ouyang later became the Deputy Director-General and later the Director-General, Department of Boundary and Ocean Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2009 until 2017.

He later joined the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee as the Director (DG Level) until 2020 when he became the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Malaysia.
