Short Biography

MR. ALBERT OUNG is a Myanmar born Chinese raised in Hong Kong.  Graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor Degree from the University of Toronto ( Double Majors in Commerce and Economics ), he was the recipient of the University of Toronto 2020  Distinguished Alumni Award of Victoria College.

He is a green entrepreneur, social reformist and environmentalist with over 38 years of international experience in the Green Economy.  Mr. Oung has been transforming and commercialising common best practices into sustainable and responsible business models through global social impact and ESG applications that conform to the UN 17 SDGs and the UN Global Compact Initiatives.  Mr. Oung is a big dreamer. He developed his idea of “Greenism” by adopting a holistic approach through providing totally integrated solutions with the right values to earn happy monies – doing goodness and kindness with moral ethnics.

Rooted in 1992, he established his green business entities by generating profits with a positive impact to the world at large.  By the same token, he used his track record to inspire  social and business leaders through innovative programs. His motivation lies in his pursuit to inspire meaningful but impactful changes in common business and social practices so as to improve the livelihoods of people and communities by spreading love and peace.  Mr. Oung is the Founder and CEO of the Green Inc. Group with a business portfolio engaging in Green Finance & Technologies, Green Buildings & Infrastructure, Green Logistic & Warehousing, Renewable Materials & Energies, and Waste Management covering Hong Kong, China, Myanmar, and the Asia Pacific Region. His company was the first asian enterprise to win the highest honour in the “Cradle to Cradle Award” of Germany / EU and awarded with multiple global awards which helped in creating global green industry standards with intellectual properties which are commercially and socially viable.

Mr. Oung is the Founder & Chairman of the “Hong Kong Myanmar Chamber of Commerce” and Founder & President of the “World Green Organisation” and “Green Institute”.  In recognition of his contributions, he is appointed as the chair of the Green Economy Task Force and Executive Council member of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific / Sustainable Business Network. (UNESCAP / ESBN).  He is also a co-chair of the ASEAN Economic Club and special adviser to the ASEAN Green Deal and Green Economic Zone in Cambodia.
