MR. SUN ZHIGUO

MR. SUN ZHIGUO, famous International social activist. He has master degree of Electronic Administration of Wuhan Universityand is a Ph.D.candidate in Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Mr. Sun is the Vice President and Secretary General of China Zheng He research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, the Secretary General of China Public Diplomacy Cooperative Innovation Center, the Vice Chairman of Beijing Zheng He and Marine Culture Research Institute, the Vice Chairman of the Ocean Branch of China High-tech Industrialization Association, the Vice President of Hainan Provincial Financial Development Association, the Deputy President and Secretary General of Sanya Public Diplomacy Research Institute.

He was the attendeeof the first seminarfor social organization representativesorganized by the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in August 2017, where 46 representatives of social organizations from various sectors and fields including economy, education, science and technology and culture from all over the country participated in the study and exchange.(this theoretical seminar for social organizers was specially organized bythe United Front Work Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Chinaunder the background of implementing the spirit of the Party General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important speeches and the spirit ofthe latest United Front Work conference for national social strata,aiming to guide social organizations to further enhance political consensus, improve quality and capacity, further enhance representativeness, and play a greater role in building socialism with Chinese characteristics,realizing the modernization of national governance system and governance capability.)

Mr. Sun previouslyworked in People’s Daily, China Radio International and other media.Since 2000, Mr. Sun has been engaged in civil international exchanges and committed to cooperative research in international civil diplomacywith fully recognition by the main leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.As the initiator of the world declaration on environmental protection and outstanding representative of public diplomacy and “One Belt And One Road”,Mr. Sun published his major works including 《National Strategy》 and 《Public Diplomacy Report on One Belt One Road》 etc..
